The hotel has 300 bedrooms as well as apartments, a conference centre with a stage, two function rooms, bar and restaurant.

Building work at the hotel was halted for a time in early 2008 amid allegations that not all of the planning permission terms had been complied with and the development was bigger than anticipated.

It had been acquired by Tommy Tougher, the late Newbridge businessman, who also developed the adjacent business park.

The business park is now owned by Palm Logistics, which today staged a briefing on existing and future plans for the Momentum Logistics Park, as it’s now known. It was previously known as Tougher’s Industrial Estate and then Naas Enterprise Park.

Asked today if there were any plans for the hotel, which was previously a restaurant, a comp[any representative said “not for the time being.”
