14 people on trolleys today at Kildare's main hospital

No overcrowding at neighbouring hospitals

Patients advised to avoid Naas Hospital due to high numbers presenting there

Some 14 people were admitted to Naas Hospital through the A and E department today without a bed being immediately available.

However, the most overcrowded hospital in the eastern region was Dublin city's Mater where 18 patients were on trolleys.

In Tullamore there were no patients on trolleys and there were none on trolleys at Portlaoise Hospital.
