"Tesco will never be the same again" - Incredible tributes to Kildare shop worker

Tributes are being paid to a worker at Tesco Extra in Naas in Co Kildare.
Sonya Mullally from Rathcoole passed away suddenly at home on June 29.
Sonya is the daughter of Brigid and the late William, much loved sister of Deirdre, Brigid, Christina, Joseph and the late Derek;
Sonya will be very dearly missed by her heartbroken mother, sisters, brother, brothers-in-law Wolly and Alan, nieces, nephews, all her adored great nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends especially all her work friends and customers in Tesco.
Sonya's remains will be reposing at The Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Monastery Road, Clondalkin Village on Thursday from 3pm to 5pm.
Funeral Mass takes place on Friday at 11am in Church of The Holy Family, Rathcoole and afterwards for burial in Newcastle Cemetery.
Paying tribute, Angela Fleming said: "Sonya you were a ray of sunshine, always a smile, laugh or joke with anybody you came across. Tesco Monread will never be the same.
"You always gave my Mum your time and assistance. May you shine bright in heaven. Sincere sympathies to your family. Sleep tight, angel."
Adam Sheehan said: "I had the pleasure of working with Sonya in Tesco Monread. Sonya was such a kind soul and a pleasure to work with. Sonya will be sadly missed by all of us. Rest In Peace."
Another wrote: "Sonya was such a lovely lady. Loved having the chats every time I did my Scan as you Shop. Tesco will never be the same without Sonya."
A tribute also said: "So sad to hear of Sonya's passing. Always enjoyed a quick chat when shopping in Tesco."
A Tesco shopper said: "A lovely friendly, helpful and approachable girl who stood out in Tescos for her friendly smile and helpful character. Will be sadly missed by customers. Few of a kind."
A former colleague also paid tribute: My sincere condolences to the Mullally family Sonya was pleasure to work with from the banter to her smile. The story of your life was too short, but the chapters you wrote for family and friends will last forever."
Sorcha and Eoghan O'Neill said: "Such sad news to hear. Sonya was such a character, always had something funny to say. She always made time for people and especially our two girls. They will miss seeing your face in Tesco, as we all will. Such a caring person to all."
Sarah Louise Murphy said: "Sonya was one of the kindest souls I ever met. I am shocked and saddened to hear of her passing so young.
"I had the pleasure of working with her in Tesco Monread many years ago and I would still see her from time to time when I popped in for bits.
"She never forgot me and always brought a smile to my face when we met. She will be missed by so so many. My deepest sympathies to her friends & family at this difficult time. May she rest in peace."
Jacinta said: "My sincere condolences to Sonya's family on her recent passing. I worked with Sonya in Tesco Extra, Monread and remember her as always smiling with a glint in her eye. Since leaving a few years ago, Sonya always made time to chat to me whenever I visited the store. A genuinely lovely lady. Rest in peace Sonya."
