The construction of 14 new dwellings has been proposed for a site located in County Kildare.

A planning permission application currently with Kildare County Council shows that Durkan (Celbridge) Library Limited intends to construct the development at Grattan Park, Shackleton Road, Ballymakealy Upper in Celbridge.

The business is specifically seeking permission to construct 14 two and three-storey dwellings.

These would comprise of seven three-storey (three bed) homes, five two-storey (two bed) homes and two two-storey (one bed) homes.

In addition, the applicant is seeking permission for 22 car parking spaces, landscaping and associated site development works.

The description of the application also notes: "The site connects to The Drive & The Close, Grattan Park (Development under construction under Planning Ref. 24/60497)".

The date received is listed as June 26 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as July 30, 2025 and August 20, 2025 respectively.

According to the business information website SoloCheck.ie, Durkan (Celbridge) Ltd was established in August of 2019.

It specialises in the "activities of holding companies" and has an address listed as Durkan House, York Road, Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin.
