Call for a 'covert' speed survey to be done on overused Kildare road

'It should be done in conjunction with the gardaí'

A covert speed survey should be done on a County Kildare road - in conjunction with An Garda Síochána.

The request has been made by to Labour councillor to "establish what traffic calming measures are needed to ensure the safety of local residents."

Cllr Breen wants it done on the Kill to Kilteel link road through Blackhill, between the Kill and Castlewarden interchanges.

"This road, which was introduced as a local link road, has now become the preferred route for those motorists wishing to avoid congestion on the N7," said the councillor.
