The Office of Public Works (OPW) has confirmed that refurbishment works are planned for two Garda Stations in Co Kildare: Naas Garda Station and Newbridge Garda Station.
The news came from the Minister of State at the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, Kevin Boxer Moran, following a parliamentary question tabled by Deputy Mark Wall (LAB) in the Dáil recently.

In his written response, the Minister outlined the details of the refurbishment works, as listed below:

The refurbishments outlined relate to works funded by both OPW and An Garda Siochána, the Minister stated.
The Minister noted that the planned works are still at design stage, therefore costs and timeframes are currently “unavailable.”
The Minister further noted: “The commencement dates for works are subject to statutory obligations, final sign-off on design, funding, and operational requirements of An Garda Síochána.”
