The woman told the court he is threatening her and when she asked to “remove himself" he refused.
She further alleged he said she had had an affair and she said she did not.
The woman also claimed he is “going around with the wrong people.”
Judge Desmond Zaidan refused the application and said the woman could make an application for a safety order, which lasts for a longer period, at a regular family law court sitting.
He told the woman that a previous interim protection order was granted in 2022 but the woman did not turn up for the subsequent hearing.
He said she applied for another order in 2024 which was granted but she again did not turn up for the latter hearing. He told the woman she is "playing with the legal system.”
He added: “You can’t abuse the legal system any time he falls off the wagon.”
Judge Zaidan said he accepted there are issues in the relationship but these could be dealt with in the family law court.
