The demolition of a County Kildare warehouse has been proposed in order to make way for nine residential units.

A planning permission application currently with Kildare County Council shows that Lorniaeve Limited intends to make the changes to the premises, which is located on St Michael's Terrace, Athy, County Kildare (Rear of 1 Leinster Street, Athy, R14 K226).

Specifically, Lorniaeve Ltd is seeking permission for the demolition of the existing warehouse premises and the construction of a two-storey terraced building, which would contain the residential units.

These units would comprise of: three one-bedroom apartments, three two-bedroom apartments and three three-bedroom apartments (with first floor roof terraces to the three-bedroom units).

The company is also seeking permission for: the provision of a public footpath, a new car parking layout, public realm improvements, bike storage, and individual bin areas, as well as all ancillary site development works above and below ground.

The date received is listed as May 26 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as June 29, 2025 and July 20, 2025.

According to the business information website Global Database, Lorniaeve Ltd was established in 2016.

It was specialises in the "buying and selling of own real-estate".

Lorniaeve Ltd has its registered address listed as 1 Leinster Street in Athy.
