A number of phones and phone accessories which were worth a combined "substantial value" were stolen from a County Kildare store.
That's according to a member of An Garda Síochána (AGS) who appeared on a KFM radio programme earlier today (May 28).
The incident that Garda Jonathan Bryan Kilcullen Garda Station was referring to was reported on yesterday (May 27 last) by the Leinster Leader, which described the burglary of a commercial premises located in Naas.
This crime took place in the early hours of May 24 last, and a spokesperson for AGS told the Leader yesterday that investigations into this incident are ongoing at present.
Now, Gda Bryan has revealed more details about what exactly was stolen and where it occurred — he explained that the incident saw phones and phone accessories being stolen from the Tesco store located on the Monread Road in Naas.
While he did not reveal the exact combined worth of the goods stolen, he did revealed that the goods were of "substantial value", and are suspected to have been stolen on the night by three perpetrators.
Gda Bryan further said that while AGS has obtained and is examining CCTV footage relating to the burglary, he also urged anyone who was working late at night, and as a result may have dashcam footage of the incident, to present it to AGS.
He concluded by calling on anyone with information and / or footage of the crime to contact Naas Garda Station, which can be reached on 045 884 300.
