LATEST: New sensory room being opened in Newbridge Resource Centre in Kildare

Soothing, interactive environment for both children and adults

The Newbridge Family Resource Centre (NFRC) in Kildare is celebrating a milestone with the opening of its brand-new Sensory Room.

The centre announced that the first phase of the project has officially been completed and will be unveiled to the public on Friday, May 30th at 12pm.

The Sensory Room is designed to offer a soothing, interactive environment for both children and adults. It aims to support individuals with sensory processing needs by providing a calming space equipped with sensory-friendly features.

To mark the occasion, NFRC is inviting the community to join them for tea and coffee while touring the new facility. Staff will be on hand to showcase the progress made and explain how the room will serve as a valuable resource for families in the area.

The project has been made possible through the generous support of several sponsors, including the Children & Families of NFRC, Hospital Saturday Fund, Life Credit Union, Pavers, and the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC).

Community members interested in attending the event or learning more can register their interest by contacting reception at 045 438 173.

This initiative aligns with NFRC’s mission to “create a better life for individuals, families, and communities in Newbridge.”
