The building on Athgarvan Road in Newbridge
A red brick building in Newbridge in Co Kildare is being repurposed into a day centre for workplace training.
Planning permission was issued by Kildare County Council to Curtmount Properties.
Approved was the renovation of the building (375m²) and its change of use from office/administration to a local day service facility including office, education, training and work placement.
There will also be new internal roads and footpaths for cars and pedestrians, car parking, electric vehicle charging points and cycle parking.
Landscaping and a new boundary wall and railing are also in the designs.
The estimate value of the project is listed as €650,000, by the Construction Information Ireland database.
