A spoken word show featuring musician Fiach Moriarty is coming to a well-known venue in County Kildare at the end of the month.

The Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge has announced that musician and songwriter Fiach Moriarty will join Colm Keegan and Erin Fornoff for 'Every Blooming Thing', a spoken word roadshow.

According to the organisers, Fiach's songwriting has earned him collaborations with famous figures such as Paul Brady, Eddi Reader, Harry Connick Jr, and more!

He’s also known for his appearances on Other Voices and the 'Jingle Jangle' travel show with Fiachna Ó Braonáin (Hothouse Flowers) and Jim Lockhart (Horslips).

Most recently, his cover of ELO's 'Mr Blue Sky' went viral, which amassed 65 million views on TikTok.

Explaining the intricacies of the new show, the organisers said: "Built around poetry's ability to celebrate and champion the ordinary, 'Every Blooming Thing'’s central theme, inspired by Patrick Kavanagh's line, is based on two poems — 'Springshine' by Colm, and 'A Billion Tiny Things by Erin.

"Both poems focus on everyday events and the small joys of being alive. In globally challenging times, it is important to find moments of celebration, joy and gratitude."

FREE WORKSHOP

In addition, a free poetry workshop with Colm and Erin is also on offer on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 11am in the Riverbank.

Participants will have the opportunity to share their words, craft something new, and possibly even take the stage that night.

It should be noted that places are limited and must be booked in advance.

'Every Blooming Thing' will take place in the Riverbank Arts Centre on Friday, May 30 at 8pm.

Tickets are priced €18 / €16 and can be booked through the Box Office, either in person or by telephone on 045 448 327 Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5pm (closed for lunch 2-2.30) and Saturday 10am to 1pm.
