A planning application has been submitted to Kildare County Council for a €1.1m office extension at No 3 Highland View Terrace & The Cottage, Fairgreen, Naas, Co Kildare.

The application was submitted to the council on 6/5/2025.

The planning application involves demolition of a single storey house (73m2) at The Cottage, Fairgreen, Naas Co. Kildare, partial demolition of the existing single storey extension to rear and internal modifications and alterations to existing offices at No. 3 Highland View Terrace.

The plans also involve the construction of a two storey dormer extension on the north side of the existing offices facing the main street, with dormer style windows to pitched roofs.

There is proposed office accommodation at ground, first & second floor level (total floor area= 250m2), two storey covered stairway and a walkway in the centre of the proposed building and a two storey dormer/three-storey building to rear comprising office accommodation at ground floor level (floor area = 100m2) and one two-bedroom apartment on first & second floor levels (floor area = 92m2 each apartment).

Each apartment will have private amenity space provided by an inset balcony.

There are also plans for secure cycle parking and bin storage will be located to the rear of the mixed-use development; new railings and pedestrian gate to match existing at front boundary, with hard landscaping area to front set-back; hard & soft landscaping to rear courtyards & open spaces.

All ancillary site development works that include the installation of pipes & connections to the existing public sewage system & water supply, new soakaway and all associated works are also included.
