Scoil Íde Naofa in Kilmead, Athy Co Kildare has applied for planning permission for a €711k school extension.
According to Construction Information Services (CIS), the application is for the provision of a single storey extension to the rear of the existing single storey school building (existing floor area = 1,048sqm).
This is to consist of two special education classrooms, two new toilet cubicles to existing mainstream classroom, and boiler room (proposed floor area of extension = 468sqm).
Also included are minor internal alterations, six additional car parking spaces including one accessible car parking space.
There is also to be a vehicular set-down area, a secure external soft play area, a sensory garden, and all ancillary site development works.
The architect for the project is McLoughlin Architecture.
