The provision of towels and sheets can be extremely helpful when taking care of wild animals.

It is for this reason that Kildare Wildlife Rescue (KWR) is appealing for donations of towels and sheets for the animals currently in its care.

KWR said in a statement on social media: "We are need of towels and sheets for our many patients.

"If you can help, they can be dropped at our reception between 9am and 6pm each day."

"Thank you for your support," the group concluded.

For those interested in donating towels and sheets, KWR's official address is listed as: Kildare Wildlife Rescue, Grey Abbey Road, Kildare town (R51 X338).
