A driver who attended Punchestown Races in Kildare this week certainly increased his chances of getting caught when he turned up with no insurance, tax or NCT.
The NCT had expired five years previously.
The driver was duly detected by an eagle-eyed Naas Roads Policing Unit member on point duty, and the car was impounded.
A court appearance will follow for this high risk driver who Naas gardai say is now “odds on favourite” to receive a driving disqualification and a fine of up to €5,000.
