Kildare County Council has been asked to provide more information about Lyme disease.

A request will be made to install Lyme disease information and warning signage in all public parks and playgrounds to advise of the dangers of Lyme Disease and the steps to take to minimise the risk of contracting this chronic condition.

Lyme disease is a bacterial infection that can be spread to humans by infected ticks.

If diagnosed early is it relatively easy to treat.
