Trainer Andrew Kinirons being interviewed after Lagoon Nebula was first past the post in the KTDA Fillies' Juvenile Handicap Hurdle on Thursday
Kildare trainer Andrew Kinirons' Lagoon Nebula was first past the post in the KTDA Fillies' Juvenile Handicap Hurdle in Cheltenham on Thursday, April 17.
The win is another enormous step for the yard of just 20 horses and a huge feather in the cap of Kinirons beating out the Willie Mullins-trained favourite Sainte Lucie and Paul Nicholls' Clotilda who finished second.
Ridden by jockey Sean O'Keefe, Lagoon Nebula led narrowly approaching the final hurdle before jumping well and finishing strong for an enormous victory for the Ladytown trainer.
The Leinster Leader interviewed the Andrew Kinirons before his Cheltenham winner last week for our Punchestown supplement, which is in the April 22 edition of the paper and will be online over the coming days.
