A new residential development valued at €2.5 million is planned for Kill, Co. Kildare, with the construction of 10 four-bedroom, two-storey detached homes on a 0.48-hectare site at Newtown Way.

The proposed development, submitted by Resource Five Ltd, include the installation of vehicular and pedestrian access routes, roadways, footpaths, landscaping and open space.

The homes will be accessed via the Newtown Way distributor road.

The proposal reflects a growing trend toward low-density housing in suburban Kildare towns, aimed at meeting ongoing demand for family homes within commuter distance of Dublin.

The planning application was submitted on March 12, 2025, and is currently under consideration.

If approved, the project will deliver approximately 1,600 square metres of new residential floor space to the Kill area.
