Two teenagers were involved in a daytime burglary in Kildare last week, a garda has said.

Garda Shane Smyth of Naas Garda Station discussed the crime when he appeared on KFM yesterday morning (April 9 last).

He explained that the incident occurred on the morning of April 3 last, at a property located in the Monread Heights region of Naas.

Gda Smyth added that at around 11.42am, the two teenagers were spotted breaking into the home, and fled the scene.

He concluded by saying that gardaí in Naas are seeking information in relation to this crime.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about the incident, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána responded: "Gardaí received report of an incident of burglary that occurred at approximately 11.40am on April 3, 2025 at Monread Heights in Naas, County Kildare."

"Investigations are ongoing at this time," they added.

Anyone with information about this crime can contact Naas Garda Station on 045 884 300.
