Kildare County Council says it has one of the highest rates of house completions in Ireland.
KCC official Alan Dunney was responding to a claim by Cllr Bill Clear that some 67% of planning permissions across the county have not been activated.

Mr Dunney told a KCC meeting that 4,100 units were granted permission in 2023 and 2024 and all were acted upon . He said information about the progress of individual planning applications is available on the KCC planning website.
