Man was aggressive and abusive after being ejected from a Kildare pub

A man became aggressive and abusive after being ejected from a licenced premises, Naas District Court was told.

James Dermody, 51, whose address was given as 62 Edenmore Crescent, Raheny, Dublin, was prosecuted for breaching the Public Order Act on January 14 at The Square, Maynooth.

Solicitor David Powderly said on the occasion the defendant would not take no for an answer and kept returning to the scene.

Sgt Mary Meade said he has been directed to leave the area.

The defendant offered a sum of €400 for charity and Judge Desmond Zaidan said he would apply the Probation Act.
