The construction of four apartments has been proposed for the premises of a former pub located near Kilcullen.
Applicant James Doyle is seeking planning permission from Kildare County Council (KCC) to turn the former Stream Inn in Calverstown, according to the application.
The news follows after changes by Mr Doyle were initially proposed for the property back in October of last year. These proposed changes were later approved by KCC.
Now, Mr Doyle intends to construct the four apartments (three two-bedroom duplex apartments and one three-bedroom duplex apartment) on the first and second floor levels of the building, over the existing ground floor licenced premises.
The application notes that this latest application is "an amendment to the previously granted planning permission under reg. ref. 24/60910" and involves:
Permission is also being sought by Mr Doyle for the construction of a new two-storey extension over the existing store at ground floor level, in order to create additional storage space at first floor level involving amendments to the east and north elevations.
In addition, permission is being sought for "all other ancillary site development works".
The date received is listed as March 27 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as April 30 and May 21 respectively.
The Stream Inn premises was put up for sale a number of years ago.
The building comprises of a traditional bar and lounge, along with a designated games area and private function room with a working kitchen.
