Naas District Court was told that an “aggressive alcoholic” is subjecting his wife and children to psychological abuse.
The allegation was made by the woman who claimed the man, who was not present or represented, insults, intimidates and humiliates her.

Replying to Judge Desmond Zaidan, the applicant said he had not assaulted her but claimed he was trying to turn the children against her and the children are deprived of a stable environment.
Judge Desmond Zaidan granted an interim protection order and adjourned the case for a fuller hearing to a date in June.
