Two brand-new warehouse buildings have been proposed for a region near Monasterevin.

A planning application currently with Kildare County Council shows that Eagle Oyster Limited is seeking permission to construct the two warehouses at Mayfield, Monasterevin.

Eagle Oyster Ltd is a company which specialises in "business and other management consultancy activities", according to the business information website SoloCheck.ie. It also shows that Eagle Oyster was established in 2019 and has a registered address listed as Unit 28, Sandyford Office Park, Dublin 18, Dublin (D18 PD89).

The description of the application shows that the applicant intends to construct two single-storey distribution warehouses, each with associated two-storey office and service areas.

The site will have an overall gross floor area of 9,171.8 square metres, which will comprise of the following:

  • Construction of a single-storey distribution warehouse A, which will have a gross floor area of 4,436.6 sqm that will include a single-storey goods receiving area / store and ancillary spaces of 3,869.6sqm with PV panels and rooflights above, as well as an adjoined two storey office / administrative block of 567sqm with a green roof attached to its north-east corner
  • Construction of a single-storey distribution warehouse B, which will have a gross floor area of 4,735.2sqm that will include a single storey goods receiving area / store and ancillary spaces of 4,182.8sqm with PV panels and rooflights above, as well as an adjoined two storey office / administrative block of 552.4sqm with a green roof attached to its north-west corner
  • A new vehicular entrance into the site off the L81760, including works to the public road, with a new internal access road which will provide access to 81 new car parking spaces (including five electric and four disabled spaces); eight motorbike spaces; and 80 bicycle stands to serve the overall development.
  • An ESB substation
  • Two waste water treatment plants (one for each warehouse)
  • An attenuation basin
  • Connections to existing infrastructural services, fencing and signage
  • Ancillary site development works, which will include new planting and landscaping to all boundaries

The date received on the application is listed as March 24, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as April 27 and May 18 respectively.
