The annual Jamie 'Smiley' Donohoe Golf Classic will take place in Newbridge Golf Club on Saturday, May 31.

Entry is €200 for teams of four, which includes lunch. You can sponsor a tee for €50 and there are prizes for the first, second and third finishing teams. As well as for longest male drive, longest female drive, nearest the pin, and much more.

The funds raised from this year’s event will go to the Kildare Down Syndrome Association.

The event is in memory of the late Jamie Donohoe from Newbridge, who was just 16 years old when he died in a tragic car accident 15 years ago. Last year’s golf classic event raised €5,670.
