Windows and doors to be replaces in some Kildare homes

Six properties in the Athy area will have doors replaced by Kildare County Council this year.

An Athy Municipal District committee meeting was told that the six are scheduled to receive full replacement of windows and doors in 2025 through the KCC’s replacement Programme.

Works are expected to commence later this year “with timelines subject to contractor availability and procurement processes.”

KCC says it’s committed to addressing any issues with faulty or broken windows and doors and “any such cases that are brought to our attention will be reviewed and repairs will be carried out where feasible.”

If repairs are not possible then the need for replacement will be assessed on a case-by-case basis subject to available resources.
