Two leading Kildare organisations named as finalists for top awards

Two of Kildare's leading organisations have been named as finalists in the 2025 Business & Finance ESG Awards.

The awards, in association with Grant Thornton, recognise outstanding efforts in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices.

Aldi based in Kildare have been shortlisted in the Employee Well-Being Award, and Barretstown in Ballymore Eustace, Co Kildare have been shortlisted in the Social Impact Award (SME) Award and Governance Leadership Award categories, showcasing the region’s leadership in sustainability and responsible business.

Aldi and Barretstown join organisations from around the country which have been selected as finalists in the awards.

Other finalists include: Dublin Port Company, Business for Biodiversity Ireland, Sodexo Ireland, Bord Gáis Energy, Codema - Dublin's Energy Agency, William Fry LLP, PTSB, Keelings, and BWG Foods to name but a few.

The winners will be revealed at a special luncheon awards ceremony at 12:00 PM on April 10 2025 in the Round Room at The Mansion House, Dublin.

The Business & Finance ESG Awards celebrate companies that are driving real change through innovative policies, technology solutions, and sustainable business practices.

This year saw a record number of entries, with Biodiversity Leadership in Business and Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Initiative emerging as the most competitive categories.

The prestigious ESG Leader Award will be presented to Mary Robinson, recognising her tireless dedication to sustainability, climate justice, and social equity on both a national and global scale.
