Ruby Boland from Gaelcholáiste in Naas has been selected to play for Ireland U15 soccer schools against Northern Ireland in an international friendly this Sunday March 16.

Richard Berkley is the Ireland team manager and is finalising his squad ahead of the upcoming 4 nations Bob Dogherty Tournament in Belfast from April 14 to 17.

The young Kildare footballer was a part of the successful Leinster schools provincial team that won the All-Ireland provincial tournament in October under the management of Keith Coffee.

The Naas teenager is just 14 and has signed with Shamrock Rovers u17 League of Ireland for this year. Ruby has also won a Leinster title with Kildare U14 GAA but that takes a back seat now as she focuses on her soccer career.
