Man in his 30s arrested following hit and run collision in Kildare

A man, aged in his 30s, has been arrested in connection with single-vehicle hit and run collision which occurred at Derrymullen, Co Kildare on the morning of Sunday, February 2, 2025.

He has been charged and released from custody. 

He will appear before Naas District Court later next month.

At approximately 11.15am on February 2, Gardaí and emergency services responded to a single-vehicle hit and run collision on the R415 in Derrymullen, Allenwood, Kildare.

A female pedestrian, aged in her 40s, was struck by a vehicle which failed to remain at the scene.

According to Gardaí, the woman was removed from the scene by ambulance to hospital with what have been described as "serious non-life threatening" injuries.
