An emerging singer-songwriter from Kildare is set to release her stunning debut EP, with the single 'God Knows' on March 7.
Hailing from Kildare, but now based in Dublin, this year, Nív was awarded the prestigious Dermot Kennedy BIMM Scholarship and is currently studying songwriting at BIMM University, Dublin.
With influences from Damien Rice, The Cranberries and Joni Mitchell, Nív also takes inspiration from Irish traditional music and folk songs.
Nív has performed at festivals like Brigid 2025, Vantastival and Electric Picnic and venues like The Sugar Club and Whelan's.

Nív sold out her first single launch in The Workman’s Club for her single ‘Silly Voices’ and was given the opportunity to perform on Hotpress Magazine’s Lockdown Sessions, with the single also added to RTÉ Radio 1’s Recommends List.
Her latest single ‘Moonlight’ was chosen as Hotpress Magazine’s Track of the Day, and her latest release ‘Home’ was also premiered on Hotpress Magazine’s website.
Nív’s music has been revered by many music blogs including Buzz.ie, Eirewave, Indiebuddie, Goddamn!, Indie Music Center and Curious For Music.
According to Nív, 'God Knows' “is a metaphoric song that uses the imagery of God and worship to convey how we idolise our future selves and that idea that our future selves have everything figured out.”
Nív says of 'God Knows': “I wrote it at a time where I was feeling quite useless and was constantly imagining how my life could be better in a few years; rather than living in the present.
“I think from that, this song kind of just fell out of me..”
Nív is due to release her upcoming debut EP soon with it’s first single ‘God Knows’ scheduled for release on the 7th March 2025.
