30 new social housing homes planned in Kildare town

Kildare Co Council is planning the construction of 30 social housing units at Station Road in Kildare town. 

The proposed development has a construction value of €7.5m.

The properties are a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments and houses. 

Also planned is a ESB substation.

Two existing cottages on the site will be demolished. 

There will be a new vehicle and pedestrian entrance from Station Road.

The designs include 26 vehicle parking spaces, 54 resident bicycle parking spaces and 16 visitor bicycle parking spaces.

New landscaping and public lighting are included in the plans.
