'Way too high!' - Kildare Gardaí reveal how many cars they seized this week
An Garda Síochána Kildare mounted a significant roads safety operation over the past week to coincide with the Midterm break.
During this period, a total of 12 motorists were arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs.
However an incredible total of 35 vehicles were taken off Kildare roads for reasons such as No Insurance, No Tax, No NCT, Unaccompanied Learner Permit Holders and Disqualified Drivers.
Gardaí added: "Traffic volumes were down significantly over this period.
"These figures are way too high.
"Court proceedings have commenced in all cases."
