Popular four-star hotel, The Johnstown Estate, located on the Kildare border in Johnstownbridge, has issued a statement following a string of scam messages that are being sent to the public, which are posing as the business.
Bringing this to the attention of their guests, the Estate wants to warn against these emails and/or text messages, that may be requesting personal information, payment details, or asking people to confirm their details via a link.
These scams tend to be pulled in order to entice money from the unassuming public, posing as a hotel takes this one step further as it is much more realistic.

In an email to their guests, the hotel confirmed they would never ask for such information, saying, "Rest assured that we will never ask you to confirm sensitive details or make payments through links shared by email or text, unless you have specially requested a secure payment link from our reservations team."
In the event that you do receive emails or texts of this nature, it is advised to never click on any links or provide personal data, verify the sender's email address to confirm if it is genuine, and contact your bank if you believe any payment information has been shared.
If you have concerns or suspect fraudulent activity, or if you have any questions or need further assistance, you can contact The Johnstown Estate directly at +353 46 954 0000.
