Proposal lodged for construction of almost 200 new homes in Kildare

Kildare County Council has received a planning application for the construction of a residential development at Oak Church in Kildare Town.

Elmendorf Ltd submitted the plans on Monday, 10 February which proposes 192 homes be built as well as 16 maisonettes and a childcare facility. The application includes all other ancillary site development works.

The application notes that planning permission had previously been sought for the development through three separate applications. These previous plans had included 88 apartments within two apartment blocks. However, the site on which the apartments were permitted are not owned by Elmendorf Ltd and so have not been included in the new application.

There are currently no other details available on the plans.

Kildare County Council are due to make their decision on the proposal by 6 April.
