'Milder trend' - Kildare temperatures to jump next week

Weather experts have predicted that temperatures in Kildare could rise as high as 13 degrees next week.
Spring-like conditions may be finally on the way after over three months of chilly nights and frosty mornings.
Irish Weather Online experts said: "Later next week will turn milder, and eventually the milder trend will cover all regions and highs will often be in the 11-13 Celsius range."
However the forecasters also warned of "increasing risks of heavy rainfall and strong winds as Atlantic storms become stronger again."
Meanwhile in its long range forecast, Met Eireann is predicting long spells of rain for most of the country.

Forecasters said it will be "unsettled with low pressure to Ireland’s southwest dominating our weather.

"This will steer frontal systems across the country through the week with frequent spells of rain leading to wetter than average conditions for most of the country.

"However, rainfall will be closer to normal near northern coasts. Temperatures will be approximately normal for most areas with the exception of the northwest where it will be slightly cooler than average. With nearby low pressure, strong winds are possible at times."
