A woman who is not paying rent to Kildare County Council says she was told, by an unidentified person, her house would be burned down.

The court was told that she had not paid the €220 per month rent for a year - for a four bedroom semi detached residence.
The woman told the court she wants to leave the area and had requested to be accommodated elsewhere, preferably in south Kildare.
“I've been trying to get a house in Athy,” she told Judge Desmond Zaidan when he asked her why she hadn't paid, given and the monthly rent of €220 represents “very good value”.
The woman then handed in a letter outlining the claims.
Judge Zaidan said the claim amounts to bullying by adults and added the latter makes “grim reading.”.
The woman also claimed that the property had been flooded.
Asked by Judge Zaidan if the gardaí were made aware of the claims, the woman said she had informed gardaí based at two County Kildare garda stations.
A Kildare County Council representative accepted that the woman had made an approach to the local authority.
Judge Zaidan adjourned the matter
