Maynooth Local Market will have a special selection of locally made Valentine’s gifts on sale this weekend. The Kildare-based market, which runs every Saturday from 10am to 3pm on Court House Square, provides an opportunity for the community to purchase unique and handcrafted items from local sellers.

Collie Flower Designs' latest collection of dog bandanas, which launched last week, will be available, featuring a fleece rainbow design and Valentine’s-themed variations. Local artist Maura McDonnell will present a limited-edition fine art print depicting a heart composed of colourful strands, along with a selection of Valentine's cards. So Obsessed will offer curated gift sets featuring candles, jewellery, and eco-friendly soaps and balms.

An array of baked goods will also be on sale, including fresh bread and pastries from Shafafa Micro Bakery, along with traybakes and cookies from Once Upon A Whisk. Market regulars, Dunne's Farm Pastured Eggs and Donadea Organic Veg, will also be on hand with their high-quality produce.

Local artist Maura McDonnell emphasised the significance of the market, commenting, “Being part of Maynooth Local Market is so special to me. It’s more than just a place to sell my work—it’s a community where local makers and food producers come together to share our passion with customers who truly appreciate handcrafted and homegrown goods.”
