Plans have been approved for the change of use of existing stables in Newbridge into a community dwelling building.

According to Construction Information Services (CIS), a decision to grant planning permission was issued by Kildare County Council on January 29 2025.

The building, owned by Embrace Community Services Limited, at Barrettstown Road, Tankardstown, Newbridge Co Kildare, will consist of five self-contained accommodation units.

These will be made up of two two-bed units; three one-bed units; an office; and external changes.

There is also permission for change of use of an existing garage to a self-contained one-bed accommodation unit, connection t existing waste water treatment systems and all associated site works.

The architect for the project is ABBD Construction.
