Trees have fallen in multiple locations in Kildare due to Storm Éowyn
Gardaí in Kildare have issued a warning for people not to drive during the status red weather alert in Kildare.
The red warning alert is valid until 11am on Friday January 24th with updates to follow.
Gardaí have reported numerous calls being made to them of fallen trees throughout the County posing a danger to anyone who is driving.
Gardaí urge people not to drive during these time.
Cllr Mark Leigh has reported a tree that has fallen across the Athy-Stradbally road, one kilometre from Athy town.
He shared a post that said, "The person who took this is a front line worker. Please be careful if you have to travel for work."
The red warning alert for Kildare means there is possible danger to life, with dangerous travelling conditions, unsafe working conditions, fallen trees, cancellation of events and disruptions to services.

Another tree has fallen across a road in Sallins, Kildare and was reported by a Facebook user.
