An uninsured motorist caught driving with "an extremely damaged" tyre will face court.
That's according to An Garda Síochána, which confirmed Naas gardaí were taking part in a multi-agency checkpoint in Ladytown when the car was spotted.
Upon stopping the vehicle, they discovered the tyre was dangerously defective and the car had no insurance or NCT.
The car was seized and a court appearance is to follow.
A Garda spokesperson posted photos of the tyre on social media earlier today (June 27), with one X user commenting, "Lucky they didn't get a blow out."
Another X user praised the gardaí for spotting the car and commented, "Well done, terrible negligence on driver's part."
