Our June/July edition is packed full of fantastic local content and summer inspiration

The latest edition of Kildare Life is out now and it is packed full of summer stories, inspiring local personalities and seasonal features from across the county.

As the long summer evenings settle in and calendars begin to fill with festivals, family days out and local events, there has never been a better time to enjoy all that Kildare has to offer. This June/July edition has everything readers need to stay informed and entertained over the sunny months ahead.

In this issue, we meet Kildare-based bog oak sculptor Larry Harney, whose remarkable artworks are crafted from ancient wood buried beneath peat for thousands of years. Speaking about his work, Larry explains how he respects the integrity and history of each piece of timber, preserving the essence of what was once a living tree.

In our popular Journey To The Job feature, Bonnie Reidy, general manager of the Westgrove Hotel in Clane, reflects on the varied career path that led her to one of the county’s best-known hospitality roles.

Fashion also takes centre stage this summer as Linda Gibbons, owner of House of Logo boutique in Naas, shares the latest Debs dress trends and the styles set to dominate the season ahead.

Food lovers can enjoy our visit with baker Niamh Dillon-Crehan of First Batch Bakery, who reveals how the dream of opening her own bakery first began while living in Canada before eventually becoming a reality at Maynooth Farmers’ Market.

Elsewhere in the magazine, Reetu Jagan, front-of-house and events manager at voco The Club near Kill, joins us for our popular Seven Deadly Sins feature, offering a fun and personal insight into life behind the scenes in hospitality.

And that is only a small taste of what awaits inside this latest edition of Kildare Life. With seasonal inspiration, local stories and plenty happening across the county, it promises to be the perfect summer read.

So whatever your plans for the months ahead, be sure to pick up a copy, sit back and enjoy the read.
