Kildare garda urges motorists to be cautious of sun's impact on visibility

The call coincides with National Slow Down Day
A garda based in County Kildare has urged motorists to be cautious of the sun’s impact on driver visibility.
The call came from Garda Sarah O’Sullivan during a recent guest appearance on KFM.
She told host Tara Flanagan that, with the weather generally improving as part of Summer, motorists should be cautious of the sun’s rays potentially getting into their eyes, as it can affect their visibility while driving.
“We want road users to slow down and just obey the laws that are there in place, just to keep everybody safe,” Gda O’Sullivan added.
Her warning to drivers coincides with National Slow Down Day (June 10).
Throughout the day, Gardaí across Kildare will be conducting a large enforcement operation with a highly visible presence on the county’s roads.
