Slovenian ambassador visits Kildare

Brig Gen Brendan McGuinness, Stanislav Vidovic, Col Brendan Delaney and Lt Col Paul Kelly

Stanislav Vidovic, the Slovenian ambassador to Ireland and Naas based solicitor honorary consul of Slovenia Liam Moloney made a formal visit to the Defence Forces Training Center in the Curragh Camp.   The DFTC is the centre of excellence for all Defence Forces training, education and logistical units and encompasses the Curragh Camp and Glen of Imaal.

The ambassador was given a briefing by Brigadier General Brendan Mc Guinness GOC of the DFTC and Lt Colonel Paul Kelly on the many roles of the Defence Forces both in the Republic and abroad. The DFTC provides specialist support to on-island operations as an aid to the civil powers, civil authority and to overseas units.
