Double yellow lines are needed in the Craddockstown area of Naas.
Cllr Anne Breen has tabled a motion requesting the lines "in the interests of road safety in the area adjacent to the nursing home and school."
Cllr Breen said the area attracts a lot of traffic to the nursing home, the secondary school and a new residential area.
