There are still extremely long delays on the N7 southbound from J6 Castlewarden through to J10 Naas South according to AA Roadwatch.
It says traffic is also very heavy northbound on the M7 from J13 Kildare through to J9 Naas North.
"The M9 is slow northbound passing J2 Kilcullen. All routes through Naas, Newbridge and Sallins are generally improving," it added.
