Massive revamp for Athy Heritage Centre

Plans for a massive revamp of Athy Heritage Centre, which include a contemporary glass and steel clad extension, are now on display.

The building at Emily Square is a protected structure and is home to the Shackleton Museum. There will also be a refurbishment of the building, repairs and masonry work carried out. 

The full plans are currently on display at Athy Library, Athy Municipal District Office and the Heritage Centre until Tuesday, February 19.

Public information evenings will be held at Athy Heritage Centre today from 5pm to 7pm and Tuesday, February 19 from 6pm to 8pm.
