As the M7 Naas–Newbridge by-pass upgrade works near the final stages in advance of the April deadline, more lane changes are to come into affect tomorrow, Saturday January 26.
Kildare County Council has said that, subject to favourable weather conditions, the M7 traffic will move onto the new carriageway surface beside the new central median.
From 6am tomorrow, the current split in traffic on the eastbound carriageway on approach to Junction 9 will be removed and both lanes will run on the new surface next to the new central median for approximately 4.5km.
It said two lanes will be maintained during peak hours of 6am to 9pm.
"Once traffic has been moved across works will continue to the adjacent verge/hard shoulder areas which will include for the tie in of new slip lanes," said the council.
