Cois Abhainn, Liffey Lodge
An Bord Pleanála has refused planning permission for more apartments at Cois Abhainn, Liffey Lodge, close to the Liffey bridge in Clane.
The Board said that the design, bulk, footprint and height of the proposal would have “seriously injured” the area.
In its deliberation, the Board said that the proposal did not have a minimum internal storage capacity in the proposed apartments.
It was also close to a recorded monument and protected structure. North City Builders wanted to demolish existing buildings to a build seven one-bed, 18 two-bed and four three- bed units. It also wanted to revise the existing residential site layout to provide an extra 51 car parking spaces, as well as other works.
