St Brigid’s Primary School in Kildare Town will welcome teachers from France, Cyprus, Portugal, Italy and Bulgaria as part of theirinvolement in the eTwinning project this year.
It is described as an opportunity to communicate, collaborate, develop projects, share ideas and feel part of an exciting learning community.
The five teachers from primary schools in France, Cyprus, Portugal, Italy and Bulgaria will visit the school from October 15 to 18
“We will demonstrate lessons in the classroom bringing awareness to our culture,” said school PRO Elishe Burke
“Our visitors will take part in a Weaving workshop, a tin whistle lesson, a Céilí mór and a tour of Kildare Town with Mario Corrigan and much more.
“We are looking forward to learning from our European neighbors while sharing our best practices with them. A team of teachers along with Principal Mr Fleming and organiser Ms Nugent are busy preparing for the event.”
E Twinning offers a platform for staff working in a school in one of the European countries involved, to communicate, collaborate, develop projects, share and, in short, feel and be part of the most exciting learning community in Europe said the programme operators.
